Jeremy Wayne Truckenbrod, 24, of Montrose, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2014.
He was born on March 3, 1989 in Altamonte Springs, Fla., to Gary Wayne and Carol Ann (Austin) Truckenbrod of Montrose.
He is also survived by his sister, Katie Ann Truckenbrod, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; brother, Joseph Austin Truckenbrod, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; maternal grandfather, Gerald Austin, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Marilyn and Donald Truckenbrod, McHenry, Illinois; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Austin.
Jeremy was a 2007 graduate of Montrose Area High School. He loved to go snowboarding with his sister and brother; he also enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and the beach. He liked hunting, fishing, and hiking, and loved his pet bird and cat. Jeremy had a big heart, loved people, and was generous to everyone; he would literally give you his shirt off his back.
A Funeral Rite was held at 6 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Rev. Phillip Rayappan of Holy Name of Mary Church, officiating. Calling hours were held prior to the service.
