Jesse Wells Sr.

Jesse W. Wells, 87, of Dimock, passed away on Monday December 3, 2012, at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose, PA, after an extended illness.

He was born in Auburn Twp., PA to the late Jesse W. and Pearl (Walters) Wells. His wife of 61 years, Laura J. (Wood) Wells, survives.

Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Heed, Elk Lake, PA, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse W., Jr. and Marda Wells, Dimock, PA, Jerry W. and Candy Wells, Dimock, PA, five grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda (Jason) Rozell, Robert (Amber) Heed, Jeremy Wells, Jessica (Nathan) Palmer, Lacey (Joe) DiGirolamo, four great grandchildren, Abby, Cael, Bentley, Alexis, several nieces and nephews.

Jesse was a life-long resident of the Dimock area; he attended the Elk Lake Community church, and was a member of the Dimock Baptist Church. He worked for 40 years at Louden Hill Dairy Farm, and retired after eleven years at Sire Power, Tunkhannock, PA. Jesse enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood, and mowing the lawn. He was always doing something for someone to help them out.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Elk Lake Community Church, with Pastor Charles Bishop and Pastor Timothy Skopic, officiating. Interment will be in the Bunnell Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
