Louis Hohn

Louis James Hohn, 86, of Dimock, passed away, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Tunkhannock.

Born July 28, 1927 in Brooklynhe was the son of the late Louis N. and Minnie (Evans) Hohn.

Louis served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Ayres-Stone VFW Post # 5642, Montrose, PA and the I.O.O.F #471, Rush, PA.

Throughout his life he worked as an electrician, plumber, farmer, a salesman and owned a silo construction company and lumber company.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and making maple syrup.

Survivors include wife of 62 years, Ida (Griffis) Hohn of Springville; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Byron Hunsinger of Springville; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Shelley Hohn of Brackney, Edward and Stacy Hohn of Allentown; grandchildren and their spouses, Leslie and Ashley Hunsinger of Sugar Run, Brandon and Christina Hunsinger of Springville, Kristin Hohn of Liverpool, N.Y., Matthew Hohn of Brackney, Kenneth Hohn and Nicholas Hohn of Allentown; great grandchildren, Connor and Hunter Hunsinger, Theron and Jolene Hunsinger; brother, Floyd Hohn of Johnson City, N.Y.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Louise, and brothers, Fred, Oscar and Bob.

Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, 11 a.m., at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Private interment will be in Birchardville Cemetery.
