Perle Fassett

Mr. Perle C. Fassett, age 71, of Lawton, passed away at his home in Rush Twp., Susquehanna County., on Monday afternoon, October 1, 2012, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Birchardville, on March 9, 1941, the son of the late William H. and Ella Farr Fassett.

Most of his life, Perle was a resident of the Lawton area, where he worked as a logger for Frank Rockefeller Logging for over 15 years, and John Allen Logging for over 10 years, as well as doing custom logging with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, the former Elsie M. Walter Fassett of Lawton; and his children, Perle C. Fassett Jr. of Lawton, Harry and his wife Latrenda Fassett, of West Auburn, Oscar and his wife Virginia Fassett, of South Auburn, Jerry Fassett, and April Fassett, both of Lawton; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Perle is also survived by six brothers, William (Mary) Fassett, of Lawton, Clifford Fassett of Rushville, David (Margaret) Fassett, of Laceyville, Richard (Ruth) Fassett, of Terrytown, Charles (Joyce) Fassett, of Laceyville, and Edward (Lynn) Fassett, of Meshoppen; and three sisters, Mary (William) Walter, of Towanda, Martha (Steve) Boice, of Hollenback, and Iva Fassett, of Laceyville; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

As keeping with the wishes of Mr. Fassett, there will be no calling hours or memorial services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA.
