William Wood

William Craig Wood, 78, of Montrose, died March 3, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in June 16, 1935 in Hamilton, New York. His parents were Charles and Ellanor (Kuhn) Wood, who both predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy Gardner Wood. After high school, Bill joined the Marine Corp and served in Korea and Europe. He retired from Oneida Silversmiths, Sherill, New York, where he was a tool design engineer.

Bill was a sky diving instructor with over 2000 jumps. Bill also enjoyed golf and wood working, making furniture at the Butler's Pantry the he co-owned with his wife.
Services will be private.
