Kenneth Gumaer Obituary

Kenneth W. (Shorty) Gumaer, 79, died peacefully Saturday, January 10, 2009, with his family by his side.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susanna.
He is survived by his four children, Patricia and Dean Baker, Susquehanna, Pa.; Kenneth J. Gumaer and Sheri Breese, New Milford, Pa., Darlene Gumaer and Kate Harvey, New Milford; and Diane and Allen Darrow, Mountain Home, Idaho; grandchildren, Nick and Shawn Baker, Adam Baker, Jessica Bush, Kristin, Matt, Kenny and Brock Gumaer, Neil and Chrissy Darrow, Nathaniel and Britney Darrow; two great-grandchildren Lindsey Darrow and Allen James Darrow; a brother, Lynn Gumaer; several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth retired from the Hallstead Foundry. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, splitting wood and nightly rides around the horn.
A funeral and committal service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Peter P. Savage Funeral Home, 183 Main St., New Milford. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until time of service.
Rev. James Major, of Watson Hill Bible Church, will officiate.

To The Whole Gumaer Family,,,my family has known Kenny for a long time...My father Ed Towner used to work with him...Everytime I saw him he would ask about my family.He was a very nice man and a funny one...Cherish the memories of him ..It will make you smile it makes us smile when we think of some of the funny things he has said or done....Sorry you all have to fo through this...God is now taking care of (shorty) and he is now with his love of his life Suzie....That is making him happy being with her.....GOD BLESS KENNY...To the family take care...Love The Towner family and April Alexander...
