Christopher James Fish, 38, of Great Bend, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2014. He is the son of Kenneth and the late Jerilyn Fish.

Chris is survived by a brother, Keith and Julie Fish, Middletown; two nieces, Alex Fish and Jill Lawyer; aunts and uncles, Gene and Barbara Fish, Windsor, N.Y., Walter and Marguerite Fish, Edwardsville, Linda Fish, Avoca, and Joyce and Jerry Andrus, Port Crane, N.Y.; many cousins; his brothers of the Great Bend Fire Department; and numerous close friends.
He was predeceased by his fraternal grandparents, Leland and Gladys Fish; and also his maternal grandfather, Walter Blochberger.
Chris was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the owner of Chris Fish Construction and Painting, Great Bend.
Chris was a 22 member of the Great Bend Fire Department, currently serving as Captain. He was also a member of the Sons of the V.F.W. Post #6223. Chris was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was always willing to do anything for his friends and family and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A prayer vigil was held Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead. Spring inurnment will be made in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
