Robert C. Treible, 86, of Great Bend, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2013. He is survived by Marjorie, his loving wife of 10 years.

He was predeceased by his first wife of 55 years, Betty Rae in 2001 and also his son, Bobby Treible in 1994.

Bob is survived by a daughter, Jeanne and Frank Hidalgo; a daughter-in-law, Linda Treible; a step son, Paul and Joy Walker; a step daughter Jayne and Joe Frye; several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Bob was a proud veteran, serving with the US Navy Seabees during World War II. He attended the Seabees annual reunion. He owned and operated Treible's Excavating Inc. with his son for 35 years.

He was a member of the United Methodist Community Church, the Lions Club, the Bluestone Masonic Lodge, the Loyal Order of the Moose, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. When in Florida, he also enjoyed the ROMEO Club.

Bob enjoyed his numerous projects, photography, fishing, and the newest electronic gadgets. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, for entertaining friends and family, and for his independent spirit. He found great joy in giving and doing things for others.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the United Methodist Community Church. Spring interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, and from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, at the church, prior to the service.

Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy can take the form of a donation to Lourdes Oncology, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905 or organizations where he was a member.
