William R. Rhinevault, 62, of Meshoppen, passed away, Monday, November 18, 2013 at Regional Hospital of Scranton, Scranton.

Born December 27, 1950 in Montrose, he was the son of Jack Rhinevault, of Montrose, and the late Elizabeth (Knight) Rhinevault.
He retired from Proctor & Gamble as an Electrical Engineer in 2003.

William served in the Army National Guard from 1971 to 1974 during the Vietnam War and continued in the reserves until 1977.
He was a member of Montrose United Methodist Church; Little League, Meshoppen; Cub Scout Leader, Meshoppen; an avid NASCAR fan, loved fishing on the river and a corvette enthusiast.

He enjoyed his summer home in Cape Vincent in the Thousand Islands

Survivors include his wife, Connie (Barto) Rhinevault of Meshoppen; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Nikki Rhinevault of New Milford; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Justin Yager of Montrose; father and step mother, Jack and Susan Rhinevault of Montrose; step sons and their spouses, Michael and Jennifer Brotzman of Friendsville, Kenneth and Amy Nickeson of Ulster, Corey and Krista Nickeson of Sugar Run, Joshua Nickeson and Jill Lind of Spring Lake, Jeremiah Nickeson of Mertz, Gabriel and Liza Nickeson of Spring Lake; legal guardian of Heather Brotzman; grandchildren, Madilynn, Alixandria, Logan, Kayla, Emily, Brandon, Colynn, Gaige, Danelle, Toni, Victoria, Justise, Jaylin, Jameson, Trent, Trinity, Treanna, Alexis, Logan, Blake; and great granddaughter, Ayvah.

Besides his mother he was predeceased by a wife, Sheila Rhinevault.

Services were held Friday, November 22, 2013, at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose. Visitation was held Thursday evening.
