George W. Arnold, 85, of Montrose, passed away, after a brief illness, on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose.

He was born January 10, 1928, in Montrose, to the late Dewey A. and Alice (Hawley) Arnold.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Marion (Brunges) Arnold; son, Tom Arnold, Arizona; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Dick Way, Montrose, Linda and Ron Lawrence, Montrose; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Donna Arnold, New Milford, Paul and Doris Arnold, Niles, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Butch Arnold; and his sister, Florence Arnold.
George retired after 25 years as a Mechanic Supervisor from Penn DoT. He enjoyed gardening, running his tractor, and NASCAR racing. George was an avid collector many items.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Rev. Jane M. Pykus, of the South Montrose Community Church, officiating. Interment was in the South Montrose Cemetery. Friends called on the family prior to the service at the funeral home.
