Horace S. Dyer, Jr., 85, of Brackney, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at home.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Horace S. Dyer, Sr. and Blanche D. (Strockbine) Dyer Newman on December 6, 1927.
Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Sally I. (Brown) Dyer, Brackney; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Tom Fancher, Brackney, Nancy and Dusty Davis, Montrose; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jocelyn Dyer, Warminster; three grandchildren, Rachel Woods, Brian and Jenny Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Ann Dyer, Warminster; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother Frederick Dyer.
Horace proudly served in WWII in the Pacific Navy and later retired from Philadelphia Electric Company. He was a member of the Silver Lake Fire Police, a 60 year member of the Masons, and an elder at the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture especially for his family. He loved nothing better than to find a project to keep busy. Horace was a very loyal person and was truly dedicated to his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Rosenkrans officiating. Interment will be in the Montrose Cemetery, Montrose.
