Lee Allard Obituary

Lee C. Allard, 68 of Great Bend, passed away at home on March 11, 2015, surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Lee followed in his father's footsteps and was a truck driver for most of his life as the owner of Lee Allard Trucking, Inc. He hauled many unique loads throughout his long career. After he stopped driving truck he opened a blue stone shop which he operated until 2012. Lee worked hard his entire life and even after retiring was always looking for his next project.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 357, Hallstead, and the V.F.W. Post 6223, Great Bend, and frequently donated his time and abilities to various causes.

He lived life with a passion few will know. He loved to work on his equipment, listen to old country music, spend time with his children and grandchildren and his dog, Bear who traveled everywhere with him. Some of his favorite times were spent at his "retreat" where many of his friends liked to visit and go on tour with him.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Allard; his mother, Marjorie Allard; children Jackie (Tom) Ayers, Sheila (Ralph) Miller, Bob (Deb) Allard Tompkins, Tammy Hadlick (James Purse), Tim (Lori) Babcock, Cassandra (Chuck) Biesecker, Lisa (Steven) Tarsia, Teresa (Andrew) Lindsey and Kimberly (Tim) Richardson; grandchildren: Thomas, Crystal, Harley, Cassandra, Jessica, Kasie, Felecia, Branden, Autumn, Vincent, Dominic, Zavier, Aiden, Damian, Colin, Emilee, Amber, Wesley, Kaleb and Kylee; great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Alexia, Caydance, Logan, Taylor, Alli, Jayne and Danny; siblings, Roger (Beth) Allard, Sally (Rich) Niles, Elaine (Joe) Mann and Esther (Randy) Allen.

He was predeceased by his father, Oliver Allard; sister, Eleanor Allard; and brother, Barry Allard.

The family greeted friends on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead.
