Peter J. Brunner, Sr., 69, of Meshoppen, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Wilson Hospital, Johnson City, N.Y.

He was born in Treichlers, to the late Peter F. and Lizzie (Roth) Brunner.
Surviving is his wife of nearly four years, Theora B. (Myers) Brunner; three step-daughters; two sons; a granddaughter; seven step-grandchildren; one step- great granddaughter; two brothers; two sisters; brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son and three sisters.
Pete worked as a general contractor for many years. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and wood working; he was especially gifted at making miniature buildings. He was a Boy Scout Leader for mentally challenged boys for many years. He loved his four legged babies; his six cats and two dogs; and doing pig roasts for his family and friends. Pete had a fantastic sense of humor; it always made him feel better if he made someone else smile.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Fairdale United Methodist Church, with Rev. Richard Spering, officiating.
Flowers will be provided by the family.
