Ricky M. Smith, 58, of Meshoppen, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2014, at Tyler Memorial Hospital. His wife of 35 years, Brenda (Goble) Smith survives.

He was born in Binghamton, N.Y., to the Sylvia A. Porter, and the late Max E. Smith, Jr.
He is also survived by his step-mother, Phyllis Smith, Montrose; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey R., Sr. and Pat Smith, Nicholson; aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Ron and LouAnn Kiefer.
He was predeceased by his uncle and aunt, Ted and Lucille Daly, and his special dog, Dusty.
Ricky was a 1973 graduate of the Montrose High School. Ricky owns and drives his own dump truck, though in the 70's he drove for Louden Hill Farm, and at one time he hauled milk for Herbie Gleason. He enjoyed collecting trucks and tractors; he loved his vacations he and his wife took to Florida during Christmas. The most important part of Ricky's life was the time he spent with his wife Brenda.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Pastor Lori Robinson, of the Dalton and Factoryville United Methodist Churches. Interment will be in the Rush Center Memorial Park, Rush Twp. Visitations were held Saturday morning, prior to the service.
