Robert H. Goble Sr., 79 of Tunkhannock, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Golden Living Center Tunkhannock after an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Loretta Ball in 2008.

He was born in Centermoreland, son of the late Howard and Helen Stanley Goble.
He worked for Louden Hill Farm in Dimock in the Creamery for many years. He was a member of the East Lemon United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Lake Carey Sportsmen Club. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed racing stock cars at the Herb Harvey Track and was known to be an excellent cook, for game dinners and family outings.
He is survived by two sons: Robert of Tunkhannock, Brian and his wife Gail, Gibson; four daughters: Brenda Smith and her husband Rick, Auburn Center, Cindy Shiffer and her husband George, Meshoppen, Penny Alden and her husband Jim, Kingsley, Ginger Miller and her husband Roger, Dalton; a sister, Delores Yorke of Colorado; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his son, David; three sisters Helen Foglia, Ella Mikulski and Jean Welch; a grand daughter Amy Miller Zapolski; and a great-great grandson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Golden living Center for the excellent care given to their father.
A Celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, November 10, from noon-2 p.m., at the Warren Hotel, 46 Warren St. Tunkhannock.
