Stuart C. "Chuck" MacNeal, 60, of Montrose, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his residence in Montrose, after an extended illness.

He was born in Binghamton, N.Y., to the late Stuart W. and Rita Marie (Donahue) MacNeal.

Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Georgia (Brown) MacNeal, Montrose; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Jordan Springsteen, Friendsville; sisters, Katholeen Youngs and Patricia Gleeson; step-brother and his spouse, William and Mary Strien; several nieces and nephews.

Chuck was also predeceased by his step-mother, Pauline MacNeal.

Chuck was a member of the American Legion Gardner-Warner Post #154 and enjoyed target shooting. He loved and took great pride in his work doing home construction.

A Memorial Service and dinner will be held from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the American Legion, Montrose.
