Robert R. Arnold, 85, of Montrose, passed away, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home.

Born May 11, 1928 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Francis W. and Naomi (Phillips) Arnold.
He retired from Bendix Corporation after 39 years.
Bob was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Montrose, and also a member of the Knights of Pythias
He enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening, working with his flowers, fertilizing the blueberry plants, and raising beef cows.
In his earlier years, he ran with the Montrose Minute Men ambulance service.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Carol L. (Small) Arnold of Montrose; sons and daughter-in-law, David R. Arnold of Wilkes Barre, Edward L. and Becky Arnold of Goshen, Ind., Michael A. Arnold of Mooresville, N.C.; grandchildren and their spouses, Robert (Suzie) Arnold, Abigail (Lauren) Evans, Caleb (Veronica) Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold, Shane (Misty) Arnold, Danielle (Bobby) Raths, Morgan Arnold; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Naomi Bennett of Montrose, Sandra Kurosky of San Diego, Calif.; brothers and sister-in-law, Ulysses "Sam" and Beverly Arnold of Montrose, John P. Arnold of New Milford; several nieces and nephews; special friends and their families, Joe and Dee Hawley, Barb and Tom McIlwee, Janet and Kenneth Small, Larry and Nancy Coy, Renee and Pat Daly, Ryan Coy and Raelene Coy and her significant other, Charles "Boots."
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth "Chick" (Lewis) Arnold; son, James Robert Arnold; grandson, Jeremy Arnold; great grandson, Preston Arnold; brothers, Eugene and Francis Arnold; brothers-in-law, Arthur Bennett and Robert Kurosky.
