Lewellyn W. Hunsicker, M.D., died on September 14, 2012.

Born July 23, 1922, he was the son of Llewellyn Hunsicker and Edwina (Petry) Hunsicker of Haddon Heights, N.J.
Dr. Hunsicker was a graduate of Ursinus College, Collegeville, and received his medical degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in 1946. As a captain, medical corps, he served in the U.S. Army of Occupation, Japan, Military Government, 8th Army from 1947 to 1949.
He served his residency in general surgery at Cooper Hospital in Camden, N.J., from 1949 to 1954. He was on the active staff of Pocono Medical Center from 1954 through 1980 when he retired.
His organizations included: Diplomate, American Board of Surgery, Fellow American College of Surgeons, American Medical Society, Monroe County.
His hobbies included wood crafting, sculpting, electronics, music (playing guitar, banjo and the mandolin) as well as the art of bonsai.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pikaart) Hunsicker; sons, Lynn (Gail) of North Carolina, Craig of New Jersey and two step sons, Kipp (Barrie) and Todd; also five grandchildren, Elyse (Brian), Jason (Jill), Kelly, Megan, Sara (Frank) and six great grandchildren.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA.
