Antwon Lavasia Gilchrist

PARKSVILLE -- Antwon Lavasia Gilchrist, 31, of 108 Wiggleton Road, died on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Sherman C. Gilchrist and Susan Wiggleton Hussain. He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Justice Gilchrist of Raleigh, NC; two daughters, Kendrea Gilchrist of Raleigh, NC, and Aynestia Sullivan of Kansas City, MO,; his father and step-mother, Jeanette of Columbia, SC; his mother and step-father, Alluh of Parksville; two brothers, Sherman C. Gilchrist, Jr. of Parksville and Everson Wallace Gilchrist of Cary, NC; paternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Gilchrist of McCormick; maternal grandmother, Annie Wiggleton of Parksville; two step-brothers, Patrick Green and Willieta (Ema) Green, both of Columbia; one step-sister, Yolanda Wattlington and a host of uncles, aunts; cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. W.L. Hampton. The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of his mother, 108 Wiggleton Road in Parksville. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
