Mark S. Annee
Mark Stephen Annee was born in Lebanon, IN to Carl and Lenora (Zimmer) Annee on December 9, 1947. He died in his home in New Palestine on Saturday, January 26, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Atwood) Annee, his son Mark L. Annee and his daughter Michele Annee (Scott) Chenoweth; grandchildren Anna Victoria, Evan Thomas, Noah Benjamin and baby Chenoweth. Also surviving are five siblings: Carl (Janice) Annee, Emilie (Albert) Dillingham, John (Patricia) Annee, Phyllis Annee (Bruce) Wecker and Virginia (Michael) Orr. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mark attended Sacred Heart Grade School and High School, followed by Sam's Technical Institute, where he earned an Associate's Degree. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam. He always worked in electronics, retiring after 25 years from the Department of Defense. He worked 15 of those years at Naval Avionics in Indianapolis, followed by ten years at Patuxtent Naval Air Base in Maryland. In his leisure, he enjoyed handyman projects, model trains, water/boat activities, Colts games and traveling. Very important to Mark was his faith; he belonged to St. Michael Parish in Greenfield, IN and to St. John Vianney Parish when he lived in Maryland for ten years. He served in various ministries at both parishes, particularly the choirs. The family wishes to thank Dr. Romnee Clark, Dr. Elizabeth Blachly, the IU Hospice staff and sister-in-law Mary McCarthy for loving and compassionate care during Mark's illness. Arrangements are being handled by Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, where there will be a calling from 4-8pm, with a prayer service at 730pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. There will be a gathering at Flanner and Buchanan before the funeral, which will be held on Wednesday, January 30, at St. Michael church, 519 Jefferson Bld., Greenfield, IN at 11:00am. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, followed by a meal for all attendees. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends Mass Offerings or a donation to the donor's favorite charity in Mark's name.
