Bertha Whiteside Weber Murphy 92, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Anderson, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis on September 11, 1922 to James and Marie Whiteside, the fourth of seven children. She graduated from Manual High School and was employed at the William H. Block Company. She married George Weber, Jr. on June 21, 1942. They resided in Bloomington and reared two sons. They were married for 46 years at the time of his death in 1988. She was active in the Bloomington community. She was a fundraiser for the United Way, and a patient liaison with the Little Red Door. She was a former President of the Zeta Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Philanthropic Sorority. Also she was a 25 year volunteer and a former President of the Bloomington Hospital Auxiliary. She married Robert Murphy on November 7, 1992. They resided in Anderson, Indiana and Lake Wales, Florida. They were married for 22 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, David and John Weber; sisters, Ada Blanck and Mary Welch; step-sons, Robert Jr. and Michael Murphy and step-daughters, Danette Bryant, Darlene Crawford, Donna DeMoss, Rhonda Jeske, Pam Kirkpatrick, Lee Ann Lechterling and Susan Nixon. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Guy and Eugene Whiteside and sisters, Josephine Ellis and Lucille Nalley and step-son, Larry Murphy. Her funeral will be at Noon on Thursday, October 23, 2014 in North United Methodist Church, 38th and Meridian, with calling from 10 a.m. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery, Bloomington, Indiana. Legacy Cremation & Fu neral Services - Morris St. is assisting with the arrangements.

Trey Thomas Smith 25, of Avon, Indiana, sadly and un-expectedly passed away on October 19, 2014. Trey was born on March 28, 1989 to parents, Tommy and Tammy. He was a 2008 graduate of Avon High School, where he received a football scholarship to Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. Trey was a passionate athlete and outdoorsman from the time he could walk. He loved football, especially Alabama, baseball and to hunt and fish. There was not a week that ever went by that he was not in the woods at the family hunting cabin or at a lake or a pond. He spent many years playing football and baseball at AJAA and then volunteering as he got older as a referee, umpire, coach and role model for the younger athletes. He was also an assistant football coach at Cascade High School. Treys infectious smile, his big wonderful heart and genuine care and concern for all those he loved will be deeply missed but never, never forgotten. He was the beloved son of Tommy Smith and Tammy Coston and step-father, Steven Coston. He is survived by his parents; brother, Todd Smith; the love of his life, Melissa Haley; his grandparents, Gale and Joan Smith, Linda and Danny Douglas, Phil and Barb Strauch; nephew, Owen Howard; aunts and uncles, Donna and Mike Dye, Chrissy Scott, Jeff and Bev Smith; cousins, Jeff Smith, Alec Dye, Brooke and Kamree Smith (Mike Hamilton), Kourtney Dye and Drew Scott; great-grandmother, Alberta Addis; step-sisters and step-brothers, Russell Coston, Christie Coston, Curtis Coston and Caylie Monroe, as well as many other family members, long time friends, teammates and classmates. Rest in peace, Trey Thomas. Services will be at Noon on Wednesday, Oct. 22 in Avon High School. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel . Sara New St. Angelo 61, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 in Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. She was born February 11, 1953 in Greenfield to Jack L. and Corinne (Lyon) New. Sara received her Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy and completed her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy at Purdue University. Sara was a pharmacist at Hancock Regional Hospital, Indiana Heart Center, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital and Methodist Hospital. Active in many organizations, Sara served on the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy for 15 years serving two terms as President. She was a current member of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and the Hosta Society of Indianapolis. Sara was an avid fan of the Beatles, Ohio State football and the Indianapolis Colts. During her career, Sara was honored with several awards including; Rho Chi Society, Mortar Board, The Rexall Mortar and Pestle Award, The Ohio State University Distinguished Alumni Award and the Glen J. Sperandio Health Systems Pharmacist of the Year, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Brian Kwitny; mother, Corinne New; children, Andrew (Tammi) St. Angelo, Anna St. Angelo and Corinne St. Angelo; brothers, Tom New, John New; sister, Ann (Mark Lovejoy) New and granddaughter, Chloe St.Angelo. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack New in 2008. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 in Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel , 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25th in the funeral home with John Wantz officiating. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Sara was a Master Gardener and loved flowers so in lieu of monetary memorial contributions please send flowers.
