Arthur Clark "Art" Edington

63, Shelbyville, IN, died Apr. 24, 2012. He was born December 19, 1948 in Wauseon, Ohio to James A. "Jim" Edington and Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Baker) Edington, both deceased.

Art owned and operated Edington Music, where he taught lessons, worked on many sound systems, amplifiers and repaired instruments. He was a musician playing the bass and keyboard. Art graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1967 and attended Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He later attended ITT Electronics School in Indianapolis.

He was a member of the Musicians Union and played in many local bands, his first "The Derby's" in high school. Art spent a lot of time working on cars.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony- Ewing Chapel , 819 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 in the funeral home.

Survivors include sister, Beth Ann (husband, Rick) Bean, Reno, Nevada; nieces, Sherri Bean, Erica Dastrup, JoAnna Bogen; nephew, Andrew Bean.
