Carl B. Broman

89, of Plainfield, passed away on April 26, 2013 in Sugar Grove Senior Living. He was born on May 13, 1923 in Silver Creek, MN, to Carl J. and Hilda Johnson Broman. He was the widow of Verona Broman. He was a Coast Guard Veteran. Carl was the Radar Chief for the Federal Aviation Administration in Indianapolis for 33 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church and Plainfield Elks Lodge #2186. Memorial services were held on May 14, 2013 in the Plainfield United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m., with visitation from 5 p.m. until service time. Survivors include his children, Carl R. Broman, Robert A. Broman, Karen Y. Taber, Susan R. Goodwin, Marlys D. Vaccari and Craig B. Broman; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 Simmons St. Plainfield, Indiana 46168. Hall-Baker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
