Darin Gene Geiger

Passed away September 22, 2013. He was born on December 22, 1968 to Ivan Gene and Janice Fulks Geiger in Anderson, Indiana. He graduate from Lapel High School, Lapel, IN. He received a BA in Forestry from Purdue University, Lafayette, IN. Darin was a member of St. Rock Catholic Church. Darin loved the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, swimming, camping and tending his chickens. Most of all Darin loved his wife, Martha Ann Adams Geiger. They were married on March 1, 1997. He also loved being a father to his children, Lewis Gene (13), Adam Robert (10), Diana May (8), Gabriel Ivan (5), and William Lando (2). Darin worked for the City of Indianapolis, DPW Forestry Division for 13 years. Survivors include his wife and children; his mother, Janice Fulks Geiger; sister, Elizabeth (Chuck) Gallagher and famiy; brother, Ivan (Stephanie) and family; uncles, Charles Geiger, Gary (Debi) Geiger; aunts, Leann (Scott) Brady, Wanda Young, and Ruby (Ed) Shipley; father and mother-in-law, Jimmie and Diana Adams; sisters-in-law, Christina (Paul) Eble, Victoria (Michael) Wallace; bothers-in-law, James (Julie) Adams and Matthew (Beth) Adams; aunt Betty Mize; uncles, Lando (Shirely) Adams, Joseph (MaryAnn) Ray, Michael (Seanna) Ray; and aunt, Roseann Trivett. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Bobby Edgreen; eight nephews; four nieces; and many cousins, loved ones and friends. Darin was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Gene Geiger; grandparents, James William (Jennie) Fulks, Ivan (Dorothy May) Geiger; and uncles, James William Fulks, Herbert (Ruth Fulks) Jones, and Duane Young. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 25 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home , 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 26 at St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, 46227. He will be laid to rest in Chimney Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Somerset, KY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darin Geiger Memorial Fund at any Keybank.
