Debra Kay Pierce Correy

57, resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of New Castle and Spiceland, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born March 23, 1956 in New Castle, Indiana a daughter of Jason R. and Geneva Ruth Brown Pierce. She was a graduate of Tri High School. She was raised in Spiceland, New Castle, and resided in Indianapolis the past 30 years. She was a marketing director for American Mattress in Indianapolis. She attended the First Baptist Church in New Castle. She enjoyed family gatherings (especially having Thanksgiving at her house) grandchildren, gardening, traveling, and people. She loved being a wife, mom, and mamaw, and had a special, precious relationship with her sons.

Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband, Larry Correy whom she married on June 16, 1984; 2 sons, Eric Coffin (wife Casey) of Anderson, Indiana and Michael Correy (fiancé Carolyn Sloan) 0f Brooklyn, New York; 6 grandchildren, Kayli, McKenzie, Cameron, Cadence, Grayson, and Jake; mother, Ruth Pierce of New Castle, Indiana; 6 siblings, Ed Pierce of New Castle, Indiana, Charles Pierce (wife Linda) of North Carolina, John Pierce (wife Teresa) of Fishers, Indiana, Sheila Applegate (husband Dave) of South Carolina, David Pierce (wife Carol) of Florida, and Julie Woolums of New Castle, Indiana; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many special friends who adored her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jason Pierce in 1990.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Ser vices . Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the funeral home with Reverend Jerry Ingalls officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland, Indiana.
