Frank E. Donaldson

81, of Indianapolis, passed away May 4, 2014. He was born December 10, 1932 in Washington, IN, to the late Owen and Goldie Patterson Donaldson. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Purdue University, and was a Civil Engineer for the State of Indiana, retiring after 35 years of service.

Frank was a longtime member of Post Road Christian Church, an avid golfer, and his passions were woodworking, painting and his family.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn Sue Donaldson; children, Daniel Donaldson (Carrie), Kathryn Offenbacker (David), David Donaldson (Patty) and Andrew Donaldson (Andrea); sisters, Norma Arvin and June Smith; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Donaldson; and a sister, Joyce Donaldson.
