Frieda Faulk Weaver

Born February 19, 1915, passed away May 24, 2014 at the age of 99 years. She received her education at St. John Academy, Indianapolis. Frieda was married to her dear husband, Gerald A. Weaver, for 55 years and together raised three daughters.

Frieda was employed at IU Medical Center for 10 years and was an active volunteer in her church.

Her parents, John and Suzella Faulk; her husband Gerald; daughter, Geraldine Cioroianu; brothers, Thomas, John, Paul and Terrence Faulk; and a sister, Flossie Loyd, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Paula (Tom) Johnson, and Jane (Dr. Timothy) Talbott; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Morris and Lawrence Faulk.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Home, 2345 W. 86th St. followed by entombment in Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine's Home, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the wonderful Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Augustine's Home as well as to the exceptional nurses, CNA's, staff and volunteers. Frieda and her family are most grateful for all the loving care she received at St. Augustine's for the last 18 years.

Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel , 9900 Allisonville Rd.
