Genevieve Eleanor O'Quin

89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. She was born on December 27, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI to Otto and Mary (Kruse) Meindl. Genevieve was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. She was a longtime resident of Magnolia, Mississippi, where she was very active in the First Baptist Church of Magnolia. When Genevieve moved to the Indianapolis area to be closer to family, she became involved locally with the Red Hat Society and local Veteran's Club. She enjoyed reading inspirational novels and was known for her baking.

Genevieve is survived by her children, Sandra (Gregory) Slovacek, Michael (Rosana) O'Quin, Barbara (Gruen) Huffman; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Lucille Yunk and Rose Larsen. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jamie Lewis O'Quin and son, Jamie Michael O'Quin.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, Mississippi. Burial will take place in East Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Magnolia, Mississippi. Memorial contributions may be donated to the .
