George D. Means Jr.

82, lifetime resident of New Palestine, IN, passed away on December 16, 2012. George was born on July 25, 1930 to George Sr. and Matilda (Burkhart) Means in New Palestine, IN. He was a 1948 graduate of New Palestine High School. George served his country in the Army during the Korean War and worked as a Pressman at the Indianapolis Newspaper Inc. He was involved in the St. Johns UCC Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Thomas, Charles and Raymond Means; sisters, Virginia Mills and Lucile Tyler. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Marie (Lichtenberg); son, Mark A. Means; daughter, Sue Ann (David) Hulse. Service to be held at St. Johns UCC on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 4:00 p.m., with visitation from Noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Center of Hancock Regional Hospital. Hendryx Mortuary Cumberland is handling the arrangements.
