Howard A. Davis
66, of Indianapolis, died February 13 surrounded by family and friends, ending his battle with cancer. He was born on February 4, 1947 to Floyd and Inza Davis in Lake City, IA. He graduated with a BA and MA from the University of Northern Iowa on a track scholarship. In 1971 he married his love, Jeanne Jewell Davis. They stayed in Iowa where he coached and taught for 7 years, before a career change to sales brought him and his family to Indianapolis in 1979. He worked at HP Products for over 25 years earning numerous awards and the love of his colleagues and customers. Howard was an avid sports fan who loved Butler and Purdue athletics and any outdoor activity with family and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, and sister, Twyla Blair. Surviving him are his devoted and loving wife Jeanne, his greatest joys, his boys: Ben Davis, and his wife Annie, of New York City; and Jeff Davis, and girlfriend Erin Hankins, of Indianapolis and his sister Karen Osburn of Phoenix. A Celebration of Life will be held at Robertson Hall on the Butler University campus on March 16, from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the
