Jean M. Dickey

Jean Margaret Wonning Dickey

90, passed away May 12, 2013 in the same quiet strength in which she lived her life. She was born January 5, 1923 in Indianapolis to Walter J. and Grace (Richards) Wonning, and lived much of her life in the Greenwood area. She was a member of Greenwood Order of the Eastern Star #390 and Alpha Theta Omega, a sorority established during World War II to provide service and activities for wives and families while husbands were at war. Jean was also active with the Greenwood Senior Citizens' Center. She retired from Howard W. Sams in 1985.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her sister, Mary Louise McKee (Bob); two daughters, Linda (Dickey) Goshen and Beth (Dickey) Dragoo (Hank); three grandchildren, David A. Goshen II (Kristina), Morgan M. (Dragoo) Inman (Jordan), Aaron A. Dragoo and great grandchild, David A. Goshen III.

A service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in Wil son St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory , Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Jean will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, immediately following the service.
