Jeff G. Dyer
91, of Greenwood, IN, died on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Greenwood Meadows Nursing Facility. He was born on April 27, 1921 to the late Seymore and Venie (Anderson) Dyer in Burkesville, KY.
He was employed as an inspector for over three decades with A.M. General Corporation, retiring in 1983. He was an avid trainer of hunting dogs and belonged to the National Shoot & Retrieve Organization.
He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis (Andy Simpson) Thacker of Indianapolis; five granddaughters, Trina (Michael) Challman of Greenwood, IN, Kimberly Kafoure of Indianapolis, Melissa (Leigh) McBride of Middletown, IN, April Hood of New Palestine, IN and Tiffany (Donnie) Diefenderfer of Fountaintown, IN; brother, Marcus (Carol) Dyer of Indianapolis; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorthea Dyer and sister, Agnes Keye.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services , 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Mr. Dyer can be made to the Little Red Door Cancer Agency. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
