Mable Lorene Neel Ross
75, Pleasant View, IN, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis, IN.
Mable was born near Acton, IN on July 24, 1937 to Samuel and Virginia Nickles Neel. She married Paul E. Ross on June 17, 1955 and he survives.
Other survivors include children: Randy (Tina) Ross, Venice, FL; Rhea Archer, Greenwood, IN; Rhonda (Bill) Emmert, New Palestine, IN; Ryan (Debra) Ross, Greenwood, IN; grandchildren Brandon Archer, Greenwood, IN; Nicole (Corey) Thompson, Plainfield, IN; and Alexandra Ross, Greenwood, IN. Sisters-in-law Eva Neel, Shelbyville, IN; Leilani Neel, Nokomis, FL; nieces Alora (Larry) Lipsmeyer, Auburn, CA; Sheree Ward, Sherwood, OR; Terri Holt, Shelbyville, IN; Amanda (Mark) Hampshire, Venice, FL; nephews, Jack (Becky) Jenkins, Sherwood, OR; and Danny Neel, Indianapolis, IN. Special friend from childhood Mary McNabb, Fairland, IN; plus many other cherished family and friends, and dog Charlie.
She was predeceased by: parents, infant daughter Robin Ross; sister Mary Ellen Jenkins; brothers Paul M. Neel and Samuel L. Neel, Jr.
Mable was a Moral Township High School graduate of 1955. She retired in 2002 after 23 years from Northwestern Consolidated School District as payroll clerk. She was also a lifelong member of Pleasant View Baptist Church; member of Triton Community Lions Club; and longtime secretary of Moral Township Alumni Association.
She enjoyed watching IU basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, and collecting Gone With the Wind memorabilia.
The family would like to thank the Pulmonary Rehab people at St. Francis Hospital whom are credited with Mable's longevity with COPD for the past 11 years due to their love and supportive care: Anne, Mary, Jean, Cindy, Nancy, Cece, and many others.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant View Baptist Church, 12442 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46259, with additional visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
