Martha Servies

Martha "Jane" Servies

73, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 13, 2013. Jane was born on July 9, 1939 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Maurice C. Huffman and Opal R. (Baker) Huffman. She attended St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.

Jane grew up in New Ross and graduated from Purdue University in 1970 with a B.S. in Education. She began her career as a school teacher in Darlington, and then as an Insurance Agent in Indianapolis. Jane was also a Realtor in Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Indianapolis areas. Her most recent employment was with the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging.

Jane is survived by her children, Alisa (Tim) Maloney of Wheaton, Illinois, Tina (Dale) Elmore of Crawfordsville, and Tim (Wendy) Servies of Indianapolis. Her children's father and former husband, Max E. Servies also survives. She leaves behind a sister, Mary "Maureen" (Paul "Lavern") French of Crawfordsville, brother-in-law, George G. Feldman III and 9 grandchildren. "Jane" is preceded in death by her parents and loving sister, Annie "Caroline" Feldman.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19 from Noon - 2:00pm at Grace and Mercy Ministries, 527 W. Oak Hill Rd., Crawfordsville, Indiana. Service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at New Ross Cemetery in New Ross.
