Maurice Hendey Gunyon

78, of Indianapolis, IN died March 14, 2013. Maurice was born in Marion, IN on September 25, 1934 to George Maurice & Eunice (Hendey) Gunyon. He graduated from Marion High School in 1952 and later attended Purdue University following a program of Mechanical Engineering. He served in the Army where he earned the rank of E4 and was honorably discharged. He married Darolyn Davis in 1954. "Mauri", as he was known to his friends, worked for General Motors Fisher Body plant in Marion, IN before opening his own business in TV & electronic organ repair. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marion, IN where he sang in the choir. In 1984 he moved to Indianapolis, IN where he opened a business in Computer sales and service. Later, he went to work for the Department of Defense installing computer networks all over the world. He retired in 2005.

Mauri was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Darolyn. He is survived by his two sisters, Sharon Rose Gunyon of Marion, IN and Emily Jane Morris of La Porte, IN, his three children, Maurice Charles Gunyon, Marion, IN, Susan Kathleen Gunyon of Tulsa, OK and Eric Christoph (Beth) Gunyon of Indianapolis, IN, his eight grandchildren, Billy Joe Curtis, Charles Aaron Maurice Gunyon, David Henry Gunyon, Nathan D. Curtis, Samuel Joseph Gunyon, Richard Christian Gunyon, Asia Rene Gunyon, & India L. Washington and by his second wife, Sara Bonham. Arrangements pending.
