Nancy Ann Ayers

Of Douglas MI was born in Kankakee IL, passed away Monday, April 01, 2013 at age 69 at the Hospice House of Holland, MI.

Nancy was a member of the Community Church of Douglas and the Douglas Downtown Development Authority, where she was instrumental in starting the Thursday Evening Summer Socials in Douglas. She was the co-owner of the French Cottage in Douglas with longtime friend, Sharrie Wellman, for over 15 years. She also owned and enjoyed an Alpaca Farm in Fennville with her husband Kent.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Evadene and Russell Fitzpatrick and brother-in-law Mark H. Ayers.

She is survived by her husband Edward Kent; 2 Sons, Jon Jay and Molly Ayers of Douglas, and Edward Justin and Tracy Ayers of Saugatuck; 5 Grandchildren, Smith Fitzpatrick Ayers, Sydney Leigh Ayers, Olivia Nicole Ayers, Katie Grace Ayers, and Will Anderson Ayers; a brother, Don Robert and Christine Fitzpatrick; and her mother-in-law, Daunie Darlene Taylor. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.

A memorial service is planned for 11:00am, Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Community Church of Douglas (6780 Wiley Rd., Douglas MI). Officiating will be Dr. Daniel Miller.

A time of visitation and fellowship will immediately follow the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of Douglas or to Hospice House of Holland MI.
