Phyllis "Eileen" Lancaster Davis Banks

Passed away at her daughter's home in Greenwood, IN Monday, August 6, 2012. She was 94. She will be missed by her daughter and son, Linda Hayes-Scott and Randal Davis; her sister, Wanda Whitaker and brother, Bud Lancaster; her ister, Carol Akers preceded her in death in 2008, as well as step children (Ken, Jean, Susan and Scott Banks) and her six generations of grand/great grand/great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins--she was extremely rich in family. She was a talented artist, accomplished published writer, enjoyed spending time with family, loved to travel and was active in the communities in which she lived. She had been a fixture in her churches in St Petersburg, FL, Roswell, NM and Anchorage, AK and has lived in California, Oregon as well since her birth in Shelby County, IN. She was raised in Beech Grove, IN. She was retired from the Municipality of Anchorage, AK ,was active in the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Anchorage, Alaska. She returned to Indiana to be closer to family after her husband, the retired Rev Dr Harold N Banks passed away in December, 2008.
