Richard E. Miltz
67, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014. Richard was born on November 6, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Edmund and Gertrude (Eppich) Miltz. Richard graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and from Butler University with an MBA in Accounting. He married his love Katherine Walker.
Richard was employed with Maytag Jenn-Air for 18 years originally as an industrial engineer and transitioned to accounting. He then worked 15 years for Firestone Industrial Products as a cost accountant. He loved vacationing, often at Disney World, as well as to as many amusement parks possible. He also had a love for NASCAR racing, Indy Car racing, the Brickyard 400, football, and basketball. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting scale-model miniature cars. He was also a long-time parish member of St. Luke Catholic Church. But more importantly, he was a tremendously loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Katherine, of 39 years; their children, Jennifer Miltz and Michael (Megan) Miltz; grandchildren, Oskar and Katie Miltz; brother, Karl (Kathleen) Miltz; and cousins.
