Robert L. Hiller

84, of Tipton, IN, died December 28, 2012 in IU Health Tipton Hospital. He was born February 13, 1928 near Arcadia, IN to John and Luella (Schleter) Hiller.

He was a 1946 graduate of Jackson Central High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church at Noblesville, IN. Robert enjoyed watching sporting events and working in his yard.

Throughout his career, Bob, as he was affectionately known, was employed by Chrysler, Don Ross Ford, Canteen and most recently by Beck's Superior Hybrids at Atlanta, IN.

Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth J. (Wallace) Hiller; 18 nieces; 12 nephews and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy (Edward) Zaloudek, Marie (Neil) Stoops, Martha (John) Mundell, Geneva (Clell) Miller, and Gladys (Charles) Scherer and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, IN, with burial to follow in Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel .
