William A. Armand

William A. "Bill" Armand

Age 90 of Plainfield passed away on November, 8, 2012 in his residence. He was born on September 13, 1922 in Deputy, Indiana to William and Naomi Mc Neeley Armand. He married Ruth Williams on December 31, 1949; she survives. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was awarded a Bronze Star. He received his degree in Civil engineering from Purdue University. Bill was a Civil Engineer and worked for 47 years for Hugh J. Baker Company retiring in 1988 as the Head Estimator.

He was very active member in the Plainfield Optimist Club for several years holding several offices and was a member of the Center Community Church where Funeral services will be on Saturday November 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery Plainfield. Calling Hours will be on Friday November 9, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hall-Baker Funeral Home Plainfield.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Armand, Son: William Allen Armand. Daughter: Landra K. Hallock and Husband Ron. Granddaughters: Cori Michelle Walters and Veronica Hallock. Sisters: Wanda Jean Hinrichs and Delores Kay Brooks. Memorial contributions can be made to the Center Community Church Building Fund 5938 S. Co. Rd. 700 E. Plainfield, Indiana 46168.
