Wilma L. Anderson
94, of Indianapolis, died peacefully in her sleep on November 4, 2012 at her residence, The Pavilion at Marquette Manor. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank- you to the staff there for their compassionate care these past four years.
Born on June 9, 1918 in Grammer IN, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Herbert E. Anderson. Wilma was a homemaker, avid bridge player, as well as a part time employee. She was a faithful employee of the weekly Kesler-Schaefer Auto Auction for 39 years, having only recently retired at the active age of 93. She was also a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church for 55 years. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her smile, her wit, her tenacity and her enjoyment of life.
Survivors include her children, Judy Reed (Carl Grow), Donald Anderson, Patricia (Dennis) Norwood, and her three grown (Norwood) grandchildren, Stephanie, Greg and Allie.
Visitation will be on Thursday Nov. 8th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and funeral services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel , 4925 West 16th Street, Speedway IN 46224 (317-241-6333). Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
