Glenn Howard Obituary

The Honorable Glenn L. Howard

72, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 2, 2012.

He retired in 2001 from the Indianapolis Power & Light Co. in Community Affairs. He served as an Indiana State Senator from 1992 until 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Howard and Mable Moore Howard Qualls; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Howard.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Howard; daughter, Tamara Davis Golden (Erwin); son, Glenn L. Howard, Jr.; 2 grandsons, Christian and Jaheim; brothers, O.D. Howard and Jesse Howard (Earlene); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 4pm until 8pm at Stuart Mortuary and on Saturday from 9-11am at Crispus Attucks High School 1140 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Street with The Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am Crispus Attucks High School. Entombment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers we ask that any contributions be made directly to the: Glenn Howard Junior Golf Program of Indianapolis Pan American Plaza 201 South Capitol Avenue, Suite 1200 Indianapolis, IN 46225-1069 (All contributions are tax deductible).
