Arthur Leadingham Obituary
96, of Fishers, IN, passed away on March 12, 2016. He was born in Joliet, IL on March 24, 1919 to the late Robert and Henrietta Leadingham.
He attended Ohio University and received his BA from Purdue University. Arthur was an electrical design engineer for AT&T/Western Electric and enjoyed golf, church activities and woodworking and was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church. He was a highly decorated military soldier with the U.S. Air Force during World War II, flying 295 combat hours and 45 missions. Arthur was awarded the Purple Heart, Airman's Metal and Distinguished Flying Cross for his service.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eunice Leadingham. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ellen Pankratz.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road. www.shirleybrothers.com.

Words can not express my sadness when the name of Arthur Leadingham showed up on the obituary list in the Indpls Star. I always considered Art as a good friend and co-workers at the Western Electric company on Shadeland Avenue. As a electrical design engineer Art played a large part in designing new automatic machines to manufacture new telephones at the Indpls Plant.
Art's military service should not go unnoticed. His effort helped make America great.
