Kenneth Gerald Dossey

80, of Indianapolis, passed away January 14, 2016. Born July 28, 1935 to Dollie Krewson and Henry Dossey, he was raised in the Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors home, spending summers with the Hadler family in Greensburg. After high school, he joined the Army, serving 8 years including 18 months in Korea. He got married and started a family. Later in life he received his calling to become a Deacon in the Nazarene Church until his retirement.

He is survived by his former wife, Lydia Dossey; son, John Dossey (SFC USA retired); daughter, Claudia Oliver; son, Thomas Dossey and daughters, Angela Combs (MGG USA retired), Nancy Sahlin and Christina Babb; including 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

We would like to thank those who cared for him in his final days. Services will be on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Zion Methodist Church in Greensburg, IN at 1 p.m. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at N.F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
