Adam George Terlinden

31, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died June 14, 2013. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 24, 1981, and raised in Moores Hill and Madison, Indiana. He was the second of three children to George and Karen (Niedenthal) Terlinden. He was a 2000 graduate of Shawe Memorial Jr. Sr. High School in Madison, Indiana and a 2004 graduate of Purdue University. He loved his job at AMB Industries as Director of National Sales and Marketing and thought highly of those with whom he worked considering them among his friends.

Adam will always be remembered by his loving wife, Candi Shepherd, whom he married on July 17, 2010. While their years together were short, their unconditional love and devotion was tender and timeless. George and Karen had the great privilege of being Adam's parents. Adam was an amazing brother, friend, and mentor to Jeff and Jessica Terlinden and Sarah (Terlinden) and Andy Ley. Adam always loved playing with his four nieces (Gabbie, Olivia, Emma, and Lucy) even if it was with Barbie dolls. He loved sharing his love of music and sports with his family and friends. Adam enjoyed playing Euchre with his in-laws, Sheryl Shepherd and Larry Elstro. Adam's humor, strength, courage, and grace throughout his life and in the face of adversity inspire them to live as he did. Adam is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Mary K. Niedenthal and Os and Rose Mary Terlinden.

Adam was strong, loving, carefree, funny, inspirational, an amazing fighter, upbeat, caring, positive, selfless, passionate, good- natured, and a vivacious person. He was a stand-up guy who will be greatly missed by his family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We will be forever grateful for the love, respect, and care given to Adam during his illness. He taught us all that love is a gift that must be passed forward and that life itself is a gift. Adam cherished every day and loved without condition. Adam will be remembered for so many things, but his sensitivity to the needs of others during his most difficult times was the heart of Adam - it is his legacy.
