Alden E. "Pete" Good
87, Sheridan, IN, died January 17, 2012. He was born September 23, 1924 to Dallas and Gertie (Walker) Good, both deceased.
He retired from the Sheridan Post Office, where he served as Postmaster and had been a mail carrier for over 30 years. Mr. Good was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was honored to serve as one of General Omar Bradley's personal bodyguards. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheridan, American Legion Post 67 of Sheridan. He also served many years as a volunteer for the Sheridan Fire Department. He was a 1942 graduate of Sheridan High School.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 in First United Methodist Church, Sheridan, IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 in Kercheval Funeral Home , Sheridan, IN. Interment will be in Crown View Cemetery, Sheridan, IN.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Nora Gean Keith and his "best friend," Buddy the dog.
Survivors include sons, George E. Good (wife, Cathy) of Sheridan, Aaron E. Good of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Kellie Good, Kimberlee Homsy (Joe), Adam Good, all of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Damon Winston, II, Ayana Homsy.
