Brady Jones Fletcher
Passed away on June 22, 2013. She was born to Louis Jones and Isadora Stephens on April 17, 1928 in Natchitoches, Louisiana They moved to Chicago, where she spent her childhood. She received her diploma from Englewood High School and was subsequently inducted into the Englewood Hall of Fame. She matriculated to Clark College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education. She also earned a Master's degree in Education from Howard University; a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, and a Doctorate degree in Counseling and Administration from George Washington University.
Brady accepted Christ at an early age and was a musician for many churches during her lifetime. Brady loved children. She devoted her life to counseling and educating children in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and the Indianapolis Public School Systems
Brady was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Brady traveled extensively with People to People International. Her travels took her to Russia, The Czech Republic, Poland, Australia, Singapore, Spain, England and South America.
Brady is survived by her husband, Donald. They were married for sixty-three years. She is also survived by her three children, Donald Bruce, Nathan (Alison) and Debra Patrice, and grandchildren, Treijon and Deja.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Barnes United Methodist Church, 900 W. 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208 at 1:00 p.m.
