Charles Q. "Charlie" Tucker
85, of Indianapolis, passed away November 16, 2012. He was born June 15, 1927, in Dawson Springs, KY, to the late Damon and Eva Jane Powell Tucker.
Charlie served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Bernice Levada Hibbs May 22, 1948, and was employed as a baker with Kroger Co. for 45 years. He was a member of Calvary Temple, where he served on the usher staff for 25 years.
Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Wash ington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Bernice L. Tucker; sons, Ronnie R. Tucker (Ruth Sparkman), Wayne Tucker (Jeannette) and David L. Tucker (Barbara); six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Eleven brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
