Charles Reed Sheeks

71, of Fortville, passed away March 15, 2013. He was born October 17, 1941, in Bedford, IN, to Charles R. Sheeks and Weyburn (Wagoner) Sheeks. Charley served as an Egyptian linguist in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an attorney for 39 years. Charley was an avid bird hunter, story teller, and voracious reader. He was devoted to his country, his family, his friends, and his dogs.

Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers- Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd. A memorial will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friends are invited to share their special memory or funny story.

Charley is survived by his loving wife, Julianne Sheeks; sons, Rod (Cindy), Mike (Cindy), and Daniel Sheeks; step-daughters, Emily Nixon and Krissi (Matt) O'Connor; mother, Weyburn Sheeks; sisters, Anne Kilinski and Susan Geroff; and 8 grandchildren.
