Charlotte M. Riensche

91, of Indianapolis, passed away January 24th. She was born February 1, 1921 to the late Edward and Alma Maas Rothkopf. She was a long time member of Emmaus Lutheran Church where she attended grade school. She also participated in the Ladies Society. Charlotte graduated from Tech High School where she played on the tennis team and was active in the theater arts program. Her work career was as a legal secretary. In 1942, she married Robert C. Riensche, which was the beginning of a love story that lasted 70 years. The remainder of her time here on earth was completed by her being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Carol (Terry) Miller, Thomas (Carolyn) Riensche; grandchildren, Hollis (Howard) Parmely, Kristen (Tyler) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Presley & Charlotte Morgan, Braven & Iyla Parmely; and brother, Donald (Marilyn) Rothkopf.

A daughter, Nancy, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with services at 1:00 p.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 1224 Laurel St., Indianapolis, IN 46203.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Lutheran Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel .
